ACT Compliance
In the Australian Capital Territory, fire safety and emergency response are governed by the *Emergencies Act 2004*. Owners of commercial buildings must ensure that emergency plans are in place and that fire safety systems are serviced.
The ACT Technical Standard
Territoral compliance in the ACT follows the national framework:
- AS 1851-2012 (The Mandate): Routine servicing of safety systems for operational life.
- AS 3745 (The Technical Standard): Detailed design requirements for emergency control organisations.
- Emergency Plans: The ACT requires valid, site-specific emergency plans for all occupied buildings under the BCA.
