Fire Extinguisher Training
Sydney & Sydney Basin
Providing fire safety equipment is only half the requirement. Under AS 3745, your emergency arrangements should include staff who understand how to use the equipment relevant to your site.
The Mandatory Standard:
Section 6.5
First Attack Fire Fighting training is a specialized technical session. If your staff cannot confidently identify the correct extinguisher for a literal fire, your facility is in a state of non-compliance.
Skills Retention (Recommended Two-Year Cycle)
A two-yearly skills-retention cycle is a practical benchmark for keeping first attack capability current. We help your facility schedule, deliver and record the training.
Equipment Proficiency
Occupants must demonstrate competency in using portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and fire hose reels relevant to their facility.
Statutory Duty of Care
Under WHS Regulations, providing equipment without training is a failure of duty of care. Training must be documented to maintain compliance.
Technical Liability
In the event of a workplace fire, one of the first documents requested by insurers and WHS investigators is the Skills Retention Training Log.
"If equipment was available but staff were not trained to use it safely, the business owner faces significant legal exposure under the WHS Act Section 19."
Expert Advisory
NSW AFSS declarations now increasingly scrutinize the competency of onsite personnel as part of the holistic fire safety management system.
Why Compliance Ready?
We are not "tick-and-flick" trainers. We provide technical, practitioner-led training designed to ensure staff can suppress a small fire before it becomes a building-wide catastrophe.
The Informative Expert Choice
We teach the science of fire. Your staff will understand the distinction between ABE, CO2, and wet chemical applications to prevent catastrophic errors.
Site-Integrated Training
We don't just train in a car park. we train using YOUR specific equipment locations and YOUR unique hazard profiles (e.g., lithium-ion risks).
Audit-Ready Certification
Receive immediate technical training logs and competency certificates to support your AFSS or insurance renewals.
The 3 Fundamental Principles of the GM Standard
Non-negotiable operational standards for all ComplianceReady ECO training and emergency response.
