First Attack Fire
Fighting Training
First attack fire training teaches staff to safely use fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels in the critical first moments of an incident, closing the gap between a spark and a disaster. AS 3745 sets this training as part of a compliant emergency response, and we deliver it on-site across the Sydney Basin.
The Mandatory Standard:
AS 3745-2010 Section 6.5
Providing first attack fire equipment without the accompanying training is a failure of duty of care. Compliance Ready provides the technical framework to ensure your facility remains audit-ready.
Skills Retention (Recommended Two-Year Cycle)
A two-yearly skills-retention cycle is a practical benchmark for keeping first attack capability current. We help your facility schedule, deliver and record the training.
Equipment Proficiency
Participants practise using the portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hose reels relevant to their facility and documented emergency procedures.
Evidence for Your Records
Attendance, competency outcomes and equipment covered are documented so your organisation can demonstrate a considered training and emergency-management process.
Statutory Defect Risk
Training records should sit alongside your emergency procedures and routine fire-safety evidence. Missing or outdated competency records can create a Defect, with potential insurance and WHS consequences.
"A documented, site-relevant training cycle helps your organisation show that first attack arrangements are understood, maintained and tested."
Managed Advisor Prompt
Failure to document current skills retention can leave a gap in your emergency-management evidence and make insurance or WHS reviews harder to defend.
